Toronto Canada - The alphabet comes to life in song and animation in Sharon, Lois & Bram's ABCs, their DVD debut. The alphabet has never been so much fun as portrayed by Sharon, Lois & Bram along with their sing-along audience and a whole family of animated letters. Songs like H is for Ham & Eggs, J is for Jellyman Kelly and N is for The Name Game will have the whole family singing and dancing their way through the alphabet. This colourful and engaging DVD also features a fully narrated photo gallery of unpublished snapshots from the trio's archives, an audio-only option, and special extras including colouring sheets, lyric pages, recipes, and craft ideas.
The trio's debut DVD is also notably the first commercial title to feature UME technology; a revolutionary new technology developed by Toronto based Confluent Technologies Inc. A DVD with UME technology can be played normally in any DVD player, but by inserting the disc into an Internet connected computer, consumers also gain access to an exclusive site that is updated regularly with new and exciting extras. Parents and fans will be delighted by updated coloring sheets, recipes, craft ideas, related book ideas, and special offers for other children's DVD and CD titles available from Casablanca Kids.
This year Sharon, Lois & Bram celebrate 25 years of collaboration, and with this announcement came a renewed public interest in the treasure trove of music the trio has created for children. On October 24, 2003, the trio will be invested into the Order of Canada. This anniversary year has been marked with the release of a newly remastered edition of their classic debut recording One Elephant, Deux Eléphants with three added tracks. During their 25 years together, Sharon, Lois & Bram have recorded well over 1,000 songs, and have amassed perhaps the most impressive catalogue of children's music available anywhere. Their material remains in great demand, and their most recent audio release, Great Big Hits 2, was released in the Fall of 2002 to further celebrate this outstanding body of work.
