Toronto, December 15, 2003 ö Last year Sharon, Lois & Bram began a celebration of 25 years of collaboration, and with this announcement came a renewed public interest in the treasure trove of music the Trio has created for children everywhere. Sharon, Lois & Bram now begin the next chapter in their celebrated career with a brand new concert special called 25 Years of Skinnamarink. Recorded at the beautiful Sanderson Centre for the Performing Arts, in front of a live audience, Sharon, Lois & Bram welcomed musical guests The Canadian Brass, Natalie MacMaster, and Denny Doherty from The Mamas & the Papas. Families and fans across the country can see this very special concert event on January 1, 2004 at 7:00 p.m. on CBC Television.

In their 25 years Sharon, Lois & Bram have made significant contributions to childrenās musical development and have been long time activists for childrenās causes. They were honoured for these achievements with Canadaās highest civilian honour when they were invested into the Order of Canada in October 2003. To mark their quarter century together, the Trio released a newly remastered edition of their classic debut recording One Elephant, Deux El?ph?nts (with three tracks added to the original). Another milestone for the Trio is the release of their first DVD, titled Sharon, Lois & Bramās ABCs. Produced by Casablanca Kids, this DVD is a musical romp through the alphabet. It is both colourful and engaging, and includes a fully narrated photo gallery of unpublished snapshots from the trioās archives, an audio-only option, and special extras including colouring sheets, lyric pages, recipes and craft ideas.

When they began singing together in 1978, Sharon Hampson, Lois Lilienstein & Bram Morrison had a combined total of 40 years experience singing in Toronto schools. They borrowed money from family and friends, lost their last names, and produced the fastest-selling childrenās record in Canada, One Elephant, Deux El?ph?nts. With its eclectic mix of songs, chants & rhymes, One Elephant was to be a childrenās record for the whole family. It established the unique Sharon, Lois & Bram style, which after 25 years continues to fill the hearts and homes of families everywhere.

They are multi-award winning recording artists, selling more than 4 million albums in their 25 year career. Together the trio has produced 17 recordings, numerous compilations, three songbooks and a CD ROM. They have also successfully made the transition from recordings to television; the Trio have created and starred in various television specials and two popular television series: Sharon, Lois & Bramās Elephant Show, and their latest series Skinnamarink TV. They have performed in every major Canadian concert hall, and many in the United States ö the list includes The National Arts Center in Ottawa, Torontoās Roy Thomson Hall, New Yorkās Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Centre, the Kennedy Centre in Washington DC, on Broadway at New Yorkās Palace Theater and at the Clinton White Houseās Easter Celebration. Sharon, Lois & Bram are currently developing several new projects one of which, providing downloadable singles via various online distribution sites including Moontaxiās puretracks.com, is enabling fans of all ages to better connect with the performers and their music.
