Erica Ehm joins Casablanca Media Acquisitions

TORONTO, Canada – Casablanca Media Acquisitions Inc. today announced that television personality Erica Ehm has joined Casablanca as a songplugger to promote and solicit Casablanca’s extensive music catalogue.

In this newly created position Erica will focus on film, television and advertising placement and will also be involved in assessing potential catalogue acquisitions. The Casablanca catalogue includes songs and master recordings from Canadian acts like Chilliwack, Toronto, the Headpins, Frank Marino & Mahogany Rush, The Good Brothers, and Michael Pickett as well as children’s recording artists Sharon, Lois & Bram, Fred Penner, Al Simmons, and Norman Foote. Casablanca also administers publishing for a number of significant foreign music publishers.

Erica, who is notably the first female MuchMusic host, has had a multi-faceted career. She is also an award-winning songwriter who has penned songs for a host of notable performers including Cassandra Vasik, Joel Feeney, Tim Thorney, Tom Jackson, Van Morrison, and Eleanor McCain among others. Erica’s songwriter talents have been recognized by her peers. She has garnered SOCAN, CCMA and Juno awards for her contributions to the Canadian music community. She has also earned kudos for her work in television, radio, film, theater, and journalism. Erica is a renaissance woman and is exited to add music publishing to her resume.
